Don't Go Tellin' Your Mama

i ran from it and was still in it (Darol Olu Kae, 2021). Poetically interweaving personal family memories with original and found footage, Kae offers a complex portrait of familial loss and separation. (11 minutes)

The Sentence of Michael Thompson (Haley Elizabeth Anderson and Kyle Thrash, 2022). Michael Thompson is the longest serving non-violent offender in the history of Michigan. Sentenced to 42 to 60 years in prison for selling three pounds of cannabis in 1994, he is finally up for clemency. (25 minutes)

Black Bodies (Kelly Fyffe-Marshall, 2020). Black Bodies follows a Black man (KomiOlaf) lamenting as he comes face-to-face with the realities of being Black in the 21st century. (4 minutes)

Don’t Go Tellin’ Your Momma (Simon Davis, Topaz Jones, Rubberband, Jason Sondock, 2021). In 1970, Black educators in Chicago developed an alphabet flashcard set to provide Black-centered teaching materials to the vastly white educational landscape and the Black ABCs were born. (34 minutes)
