Brian Bolster, 2025

Despite its prohibition, many visitors to Arizona’s Petrified Forest National Park find the temptation to take keepsakes irresistible. However, superstition and remorse often prompt the return of hundreds or more of these illicit souvenirs each year. The letters which often accompany them are maintained within the archives of the Park’s library and, as read aloud in the film, bear witness to the desire for redemption.
