Jesse Moss and Amanda McBaine, 2020

A thousand 17-year-old boys from Texas join together to build a representative government from the ground up. Since 1935, the American Legion has held Boys State in states across the country. Turning their cameras on a diverse cast of characters as they develop their platforms and try to sway voters, Amanda McBaine and Jesse Moss The Overnighters offer a hilarious and poignant lesson in civic engagement.
