Tamara Kotevska and Ljubomir Stefanov, 2019

This intimate film tells the story of Hatidze Muratova, the last in a long line of Macedonian wild beekeepers. In a peaceful but isolated mountain region deep within the Balkans, Hatidze cares for her ailing mother and ekes out a living farming honey in small batches. Her world is transformed when an itinerant family arrives with roaring engines, seven rambunctious children, a herd of cattle, and a growing interest in her honey business.

A panel discussion with Dr. Kathleen Halvorsen, Dr. Victor Busov, and Melissa Hronkin will follow the film.
