John Wilson, 2026

Looking for a new project following the conclusion of his acclaimed HBO series How To with John Wilson, Wilson settles on the history of concrete, only to find his pitch met with less than enthusiastic responses. As he struggles to finance the film, he follows his curiosity about this ubiquitous material from the cracking foundation of his own home to the annual World of Concrete convention in Las Vegas and the ancient ruins of Rome. Along the way, his inquiry becomes less about the material itself than the civilization we’ve built with it. Wry, funny, and weird — it's a unique aggregate that only Wilson could assemble.
