Sebastian Schipper, 2015

Winner of the Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution at this year's Berlin Film Festival, VICTORIA is a heist thriller with a cinematic twist: It is a single two-hour+ continuous shot unfolding in 22 locations (with no cheats). Young Spanish exile Victoria longs for some excitement and gets more than she bargains for when she befriends an amateur gangster Sonne and his friends. What seems to be a low-stakes robbery quickly turns into a high-stakes thriller, ramped up by the risky single-shot device.
