Fork in the Road

Vivian Sorenson, Jonathan Nastasi, 2026

From a family in Henry County, Kentucky, who fight to sustain their farm after losing a dairy contract with a corporate giant, to an Alaskan indigenous kelp farmer, to Latina farmers facing economic and social inequities in California, the stories in Fork in the Road reflect broader issues of access to land, capital, and fair markets.

Grounded in the words and wisdom of the late Wendell Berry, the film also features his daughter, Mary Berry Smith, who founded the Berry Center, a non-profit dedicated to preserving the Berry legacy by advocating for small farmers, land-conserving communities, and sustainable regional economies.

Co-director and executive producer Vivian Sorenson, an award-winning filmmaker and television producer whose credits include Chopped, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, and La Pitchoune: Cooking in France, will attend the screening and participate in a discussion following the film.
