Vivian Sorenson

Vivian SorensonVivian Sorenson is an award-winning Executive Producer and Director whose work spans television, documentary, feature film, and immersive theater. She served as Co-Executive Producer and Showrunner of the iconic Food Network series Chopped, Chopped Junior, and After Hours.

Her executive producing credits include Guy’s Chance of a Lifetime (Food Network) and La Pitchoune: Cooking in France (Magnolia / HBO Max), and she has produced Queer Eye for the Straight Guy (Bravo) and directed What Not to Wear (TLC), Wife Swap (ABC), and Savoring Harlem (Food Network).

Sorenson has also directed multiple award-winning short films and plays. Her feature film Serpentine Pink, written by Megan Breen, is distributed by Gravitas Ventures. In addition to her work in film and television, she creates immersive theatrical experiences that combine storytelling, food, and performance, including the award-winning dining production Teatime in Wonderland with Electric Playhouse at Caesars Palace’s Forum Shops in Las Vegas and at Electric Playhouse in Albuquerque. Most recently, she directed the immersive theater production Married by the Mob by Jenn Graziano.

VENUE

All events are free and open to the public. The festival will be held in the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts on the Michigan Tech campus, with additional films hosted by MTU Film Board in Fisher 135.
